Narcotics roundup nets 10 here

An ongoing, multi-agency drug investigation culminated Wednesday with 10 arrests.

Officers with the Murray Police Department, Calloway County Sheriff's Department, Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force, Marshall County Sheriff's Department, Benton Police Department and U.S. Marshal Service were involved with the investigation, according to a MPD release.

Those arrested on warrants during the 6 a.m. Wednesday round-up and their charges are:

-Tracy Jones, 43, of Murray, two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine).

-Rex A. Stone, 27, of Almo, two counts of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine). He also was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (crack cocaine) and possession of drug paraphernalia for having those illegal items on him during the arrest.

-Elvis Lee, 32, of New Concord, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and two counts of trafficking in legend drug. He also was charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) during the round-up.

-Michael Foster, 34, who is lodged on other drug charges in the Calloway County jail, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (cocaine). He was served with his indictment warrant earlier and already pleaded innocent in Calloway Circuit Court. He's scheduled to appear in court again on Nov. 27.

-Chasity Ross, 25, of Almo, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (meth), second-offense possession of drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of a meth precursor.

-Melissa Johnson, 33, of Murray, second-offense possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

-Timmy Stalls, who was already lodged in Calloway County jail, manufacturing methamphetamine.

-Henry Beach, 48, of Murray, unlawful possession of a meth precursor.

-Gail Devine, of Benton, no age listed, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (meth).

During the round-up, officers learned narcotics were being sold at a Riviera Courts residence, according to the MPD release. That information led to a search of 93 Riviera Courts and resulted in the arrest of a Murray man.

Alden Haydell II, 21, was charged with trafficking a controlled substance within 1,000 yards of a school, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Police say the investigation is going and several more arrests are expected in the next few weeks.
