Western Kentucky bridge reopens after inspection
CANTON, Ky. (AP) - A bridge crossing Lake Barkley in western Kentucky is reopen to traffic after an inspection this morning.
Kentucky Department of Highways spokesman Keith Todd said a tow boat indirectly struck the Lawrence Memorial Bridge this morning. It carries U.S. 68 and Ky. 80 over the lake from Canton to the Land Between the Lakes.
The bridge was closed for inspection from about 8:30 a.m. to about 9:15 a.m.
