Two men arrested in tobacco store robbery

Two men have been arrested in connection with the armed robbery that occurred at Discount Tobacco City in Hazel Monday afternoon.
According to a report by the Calloway County Sheriff's Department, a search warrant was issued Tuesday at 5 p.m. for the residence of Adam Glisson at 999 Crossland Road after the vehicle that was driven during the robbery was found at the residence.
Glisson, 24, of Murray admitted to being the driver of the red Chevrolet Blazer during the robbery. A 9-milimeter shell casing was found in the vehicle.
Glisson was arrested and charged with complicity to first degree robbery. He was lodged in the Calloway County Jail and is being held on a $100,000 cash bond.
According to police, further charges could be made against Glisson due to drugs that were reportedly found at his residence.
A Kirksey man was arrested at 2 this (Wednesday) morning and was identified by police as being the man who robbed the store at gunpoint.
The Marshall County Special Response Team assisted the Calloway County Sheriff's Department in executing a search warrant at 1182 Kirksey Almo Rd. in Calloway County.
Christopher Humphreys, 23, was located at this residence. According to the sheriff's report, he admitted he was the person who robbed Discount Tobacco City.
Located at the house was the clothing believed to have been worn by Humphreys during the robbery.
According to the sheriff's report, Humphreys said he was having trouble providing for his family.
Humphreys was arrested and charged with first degree robbery. He was lodged at the Calloway County Jail and is being held on a $100,000 cash bond.
There could be additional charges brought against Humphreys due to the drugs found at his residence, police said. Humphreys has other pending felony cases at this time in Marshall County Circuit Court, the release stated. He is a convicted felon and is not supposed to be in possession of firearms, according to police.
Calloway County Det. Samantha Mighell said the investigation is continuing and more arrests are expected in the case.
