Various churches have released information concerning their worship services for the coming weekend as follows:

Bethel United Methodist: The Rev. Robert McKinney will speak at the 9:30 a.m. worship service. Sunday school is at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday night Bible study and classes for all ages, with a meal, is at 6 p.m.

First Christian: The Rev. Dr. Ruth Ragovin will speak at the 10:30 a.m. worship service on “When I’m Afraid, God is Good!” with scripture from Deuteronomy 34:1-12. Worship & Wonder, a Montessori-based worship experience for children 3 through fourth grade, is offered at 10:30 a.m. Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. For a ride to the church, call 270-753-3824.

First United Methodist: The Rev. Dr. Rob Martin, purchase district superintendent of the United Methodist Church, will speak at the 8:45 a.m. and 11 a.m. worship services with scripture from Luke 8:26-39.

Friendship Church of Christ: Wes Alexander will speak at the 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. worship services. Charles Taylor is the pastor.

Glendale Road Church of Christ: Steven Hunter will speak at the 9 a.m. worship service on “Justified by Faith,” with scripture from Galatians 3:23-39. Hunter will speak at the 6 p.m. service on “What Lies Ahead After Judgement,” with scripture from Ezekiel 37:1-4.

Goshen United Methodist: Pastor April Arnold will speak at 9 a.m. worship service on “Trinity,” with scripture from John 15:26; 16:15. Bible study for both Goshen and Kirksey will meet at Kirksey UMC at 4 p.m.

Grace Baptist: Pastor Kim Reeder will speak at the 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. worship services. Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m.

Hazel Baptist: Pastor Jordan Roach will speak at the 10:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. worship services. Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m.

Kirksey United Methodist: Pastor April Arnold will speak at the 11 a.m. worship service on “Trinity,” with scripture from John 15:26; 16:15.

In Our Churches

Homecoming will be at Palestine UMC

Palestine United Methodist Church Homecoming will be Sunday, June 23. Singing will begin at 10 a.m. with special music presented by Mandy Phillips, Leon Knott, Margie Nanney, the Palestine Ladies Group and others. Pastor Richard Burkeen will speak at the 11 a.m. worship service and a potluck meal will follow at noon. Greater Hope to celebrate 26th anniversary

Greater Hope Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate its 26th anniversary Sunday, June 23. The guest speaker will be Pastor Elder Garry M. Spotts of New Home Missionary Baptist Church of Chattanooga, Tennessee, who will speak at the 11 a.m. worship service. Lunch will be served after the service. Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m.

Revival to be held at New Jenny Ridge

Revival services will be held at 6 p.m. each night beginning Wednesday, June 26, through Saturday, June 29, with Pastor Robert Brown at New Jenny Ridge Pentecostal Church at 2605 Highland Road. The public is invited.

VBS offered at Scott’s Grove Baptist

Vacation Bible School, “ROAR,” will be offered at Scott’s Grove Baptist Church from 6-8:30 p.m. Sunday, June 23, through Thursday, June 27, for children 4 years-old through sixth grade. A meal will be served each night. For transportation, call Ricky Sheridan at 270-978-8391.

Event to be held at St. John
