Arboretum welcomes visitors again after Sunday storm

William Dupo, 5, of Murray, had his mask resembling super hero Black Panther over his face Thursday as his family visited the Arboretum at Murray State University. The facility has returned to allowing visitors since Tuesday after cleanup was needed in some places in the wake of damage from a severe thunderstorm Sunday. Murray State University Director of Communications Shawn Touney said a lightning strike started a small fire at a greenhouse, resulting in minor damage, while a few trees also were partially uprooted. No injuries were reported. Murray State University police and the Murray Fire Department did respond, Touney said.
