'Moonlight and Magnolias'

Playhouse in the Park presents "Moonlight and Magnolias" for its second and final weekend at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday. This comedy tells the story (loosely based on fact) of how the 1939 film classic "Gone With the Wind" was saved from disaster when legendary producer David O. Selznick locked screenwriter Ben Hecht and director Victor Fleming in his office for five days so they could fix the script for the adaptation of Margaret Mitchell's bestselling 1936 novel of the same name. Pictured, from left are Issac Gish as Selznick, Josh Byrne as Hecht and Kevin Swartz as Fleming. Tickets may be purchased at the door or at www.playhousemurray.org.
