Bundling up for the winter

Linda Darden dresses the carved-wood figures in her front yard for the weather Wednesday now that the cold seems to mostly be here to stay. They are among the several elaborate wood carvings at her home in the Stella community that were carved by Farmington chainsaw artist Justin Driver. Darden said that when she had three trees die a little over a year ago, she had them cut down because she worried they might fall on the house, but she left about 7 feet of each the trees standing. After finding Driver’s information on Facebook, she commissioned him to turn her yard into an attraction that she says gets lots of attention from passersby on KY 121.
