MURRAY — The Laboratory Department and Blood Donor Center at Murray-Calloway County Hospital was given a stellar “no deficiencies” rating by the Office of Inspector General after a recent visit.
“MCCH Blood Bank is one of only 2 hospital-based blood donor programs in Kentucky. This is a wonderful service for our community. We are inspected regularly by OIG and FDA to maintain the rigorous standards of these organizations and the absolute safest blood products for our patients. We are extremely proud of our “no deficiency” reports, it shows how committed our staff is to quality and safety,” said Linda Cavitt, Director of Laboratory Services.
