MURRAY — Carolyn Thorne, Registered Nurse, Regulatory Coordinator, recently reached her 40 year service mark at Murray-Calloway County Hospital. She has worked in various departments over the years including her favorite which was the medical surgical unit. She also enjoyed working 2nd Floor and 3 West. Her favorite Directors that she worked with have been Lisa Moss, Director of fifth Floor, and Sabrina Karraker, APRN.

“Once I began working at MCCH, leaving wasn’t an option. What I have loved the most was being part of our patient’s lives! Early on I learned people make their own decisions about their health but hoped that maybe a word or something I shared with them about their health might someday make a difference in their lives,” she said.

In her spare time Carolyn enjoys photographing hummingbirds. She also enjoys swimming in her pool and playing in her back yard with her five grandchildren and one on the way, Ian, Sebastien, Skyler, Olivia and Lola. She is married to David and they have two children, Chris and Emily.
