Memorial Day collision results in DUI arrest

This wreck on Monday morning northwest of Murray did not result in any injuries, but it did result in an arrest for driving under the influence. The Calloway County Sheriff's Office said that two vehicles collided almost head on along KY 121 North between the Calloway County Fairgrounds and KY 783 (Airport Road). CCSO said John Q. Hutchison, 31, of Paducah, was southbound on the highway at 9:53 a.m. Monday when his 1988 Chrysler New Yorker collided with a 2011 Nissan Murano SUV that was driven by Taylor Sirls, 22, of Murray, who was headed north. After investigation at the scene, CCSO said Hutchison was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs, first offense.
