MAYFIELD — The Graves County Sheriff’s Office says a firearm was discovered Friday by a mowing crew.
In a news release, the sheriff’s office said it was contacted by the Graves County Road Department after a mowing crew found the firearm on a county road between Sedalia and Wingo. The sheriff’s office said that one of the mowing crew workers reported that the firearm was discovered along the side of the road.
The sheriff’s office checked the serial number and has determined that it was not stolen. Anyone who may have lost a firearm is asked to contact Capt. Jeremy Prince of the Graves sheriff’s office at 270-247-4501.
The sherif’s office stresses that anyone claiming ownership of this firearm will need to describe it, along with the type of case in which it was contained.
