The Christmas House 1

Larry Moore prepares red icicle lights while standing on a ladder Saturday morning at the house he and his wife, Joanne, share in Murray. Saturday marked the day that the Moores began preparing their house at the corner of South Fourth and Olive streets for the upcoming holiday season. The display has become one of the most recognized in the community for its wide array of features, including angels, a nativity scene, arches and numerous decorative trees. Larry said he got an understanding of how well-known his place has become during last year's Rotary Club of Murray Christmas Parade, when he was watching the event and a child asked his parents if they could see "the Christmas House," unbeknownst to Larry that it was his house the child was describing. He said the "Christmas House" will remain dark until coming to life on or about Thanksgiving.
