Senior walk-through

Thursday was the last day of school for Murray Independent School District, but the day before, Murray High seniors continued the tradition of walking through the elementary and middle schools to thank their old teachers for their dedication. Senior Carson Gilliam is pictured at Murray Elementary hugging his mother, second grade teacher Shelley Powell. Powell said she went from teaching kindergarten to second grade around the time her son entered second grade, so she actually had the Class of 2023 in class twice. Seen at right is retired teacher Rebecca Cunningham, who taught Gilliam in kindergarten and visited along with several retired faculty to cheer on her former students.
