Greyson Wayne Holland died peacefully in the arms of his loving parents at Norton Children’s Hospital Monday, Feb. 4, 2019.

He is the infant son of Tyler and Melissa Holland of Benton. He is the answer to their prayers and will forever be in their hearts. During his eight short days on this earth, he touched so many lives and was deeply loved and adored by his family and friends.

Grayson is survived by his siblings, Anna Noles, Addison Noles, Ava Noles, Kenna Holland and his twin brother, Jack Holland; his paternal grandparents, Randy and Pam Holland of Benton; maternal grandparents, Chuck and Linda Vied of Murray and Dale and Lori Clark of Benton; and his uncles, Josh Vied of Murray and Ryan Holland of Paducah.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, at Altona Baptist Church in Calvert City with Blake Woods officiating. Burial will follow in Fooks Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.

Verdean Louise Outland

Verdean Louise Outland, 96, of Murray, Kentucky, went to be with the Lord Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, at 7:23 p.m., at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray.

She was born March 4, 1922, in Calloway County, Kentucky, to Ogden Bogard and Eva Wrather Bogard. 

She was a member of New Concord Church of Christ and was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She was employed at the Landolt Garment Factory and retired from Fisher Price-Mattel.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, WB Outland; one daughter, Dorothy Dean Outland; two sisters, Robbie Crouse and husband Laverne and Modena Outland, her twin sister, and husband RC Outland; and one grandson, Aaron Foutch.

Mrs. Outland is survived by two daughters, Slinda Jane McCuiston and Wilma Jean Hill and husband Howard, all of Murray; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and a nephew.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2019, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Ed Davis and John Dale officiating. Burial will follow in Hicks Cemetery. Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11, 2019, at the funeral home.
