Theresa Jane Knight, 73, of Murray, Kentucky, died Saturday, March 9, 2019, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray.

She was born Dec. 31, 1945, in Calloway County, Kentucky, to Mason Canady and Mildred Elkins Canady. 

She was a homemaker and retired from real estate sales. She was a member of Glendale Road Church of Christ.

Mrs. Knight is survived by her husband, James C. Knight of Murray, whom she married Jan. 29, 1964, in Metropolis, Illinois; a daughter, Amy Robinson of Murray; two sons, Mitchell Knight and wife Lori and Jay Knight, all of Murray; one sister, Carolyn Darnell and husband Brooks of Murray; a brother, Jack Canady and wife Darlene of Murray; five grandchildren, Alex Knight, Abby Robinson, Tyler Robinson, Tanner Knight and Kelsey Knight Hurley and husband Wayne; and four great-grandchildren, Ansley Higgins, Ayla Higgins, Gracie Hurley and Beau Keene.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with John Dale and Kerry Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Hicks Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at the funeral home.

David Edward Vaughn, 72, of Dexter, Kentucky, died Saturday, March 9, 2019, at his residence.

He was born May 14, 1946, to Clyde Edward and Helen Gene Vaughn, who preceded him in death.

He was a truck driver for Heartland Express. 

Mr. Vaughn is survived by his three sons, Jeremy Vaughn and wife Emma of Cadiz, Sean Vaughn and wife Amy of Fancy Farm and Nicholas  Vaughn and wife Jennifer of Farmington, Missouri.

There will be a gathering of remembrance from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2019, at Imes Funeral Home & Crematory, downtown Murray. 

A memorial service will be at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Brooks Chapel Cemetery Fund, or the Disabled American Veterans.

Georgia Vaughn, 64, of Kirksey, Kentucky, died Saturday, March 9, 2019 at her home.

She was born Nov. 19, 1954, in Charleston, South Carolina, to Robert S. Kettrick and Mary Heslep Kettrick. 

She retired as a school bus monitor for the Calloway County School System. 

Mrs. Vaughn is survived by her husband, Michael Vaughn of Kirksey, whom she married July 12, 1989, in Paris, Tennessee; two daughters, Brandi Dinkins Heydon and significant other David Hensley of Lancaster, South Carolina, and Lauren Hayden and husband Matt Hayden of Fancy Farm; two sons, Charlie Dinkins and significant other Charlotte Beyer of Memphis, Tennessee, and Darren Vaughn and significant other Bethany Roach of Murray; two sisters, Melinda Thomas of Boston, Massachusetts, and Mary Beth Walker of Ohio; two brothers, Robert Kettrick of Florida and Thomas Kettrick of Savannah, Georgia; and six grandchildren, Collin Griffith, Abigail Reagan Dinkins, Patton Dinkins, Hailey Drew Heydon, Hallie Hayden and Zack Hayden. 

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Kerry Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in  Murray City Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at the funeral home.

Monette Barham Blackford, 82, of Murray, Kentucky, died Thursday, March 7, 2019, at the Anna Mae Owen Residential Hospice House in Murray.

She was born June 20, 1936, in Fulton County, Kentucky, to Wille Morris Barham Sr. and Allie Mai Taylor Barham. 

She retired from Bell South Telephone Company. She was a member of Poplar Spring Baptist Church and a member of the AT&T Telephone Pioneers. She had a love of crocheting, as well as teaching others the craft. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Blackford; one sister, Mary Bondurant; two brothers, James Thomas Barham and Willie Maurice Barham Jr.; one stepdaughter, Sherry Harmon; and a stepgranddaughter, Emily Blackford.  

Mrs. Blackford is survived by three stepdaughters, Rebecca Wright and husband Dan, Lisa Cox and husband Billy, all of Murray, and Robyn Looper and husband Chad of Mayfield; one stepson, Wayne Blackford and wife Susan of Murray; one sister, Carolyn Faulkner of South Fulton, Tennessee; 12 step grandchildren, Aaron Noffsinger and wife Jen, Ashley Noffsinger, Samantha Bowland and husband Aaron, Lyndsey Looper, Will Blackford and wife Kristy, Elizabeth Morse and husband Matt, Joe Ben Hendrick, Matt Hendrick, Margaret Hendrick, Gabe Clark, Quentin Cox and Cheri Beth Molloy; and eight stepgreat-grandchildren, Hannah Hendrick, Faith Hendrick, Caleb Noffsinger, Emily Noffsinger, Hank Morse, Fitz Blackford, Brianna Molloy and Bailey Molloy. 

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home with Rob Ison officiating. Entombment will follow in Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation was from 5-8 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2019, at the funeral home.

Frances A. Flood, 99, of Murray, Kentucky, died Friday, March 8, 2019, at Spring Creek Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Murray. 

She was born May 12, 1919, in the Goose Hollow area of Trigg County, Kentucky, to Reba Earl and Lillie Cunningham Allen. 

At the age of 4, the family moved to Between the Rivers. On July 17, 1939, she married Eura M. Flood. They farmed Between the Rivers until they were forced to move in 1962 because of the impoundment of Lake Barkley. They relocated in Calloway County and there she was involved in the everyday duties of the family farm.  In 1976, at the death of her husband, she took a job at the Murray-Calloway County Hospital in housekeeping, retiring in 1983, while still overseeing the farm. A member of Locust Grove Baptist Church since 1963, at her passing, she was the oldest member and she especially enjoyed being a part of the Senior Adult Women’s Sunday school class, where she was one of the last two surviving members of the class.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter, Ellen Scott Ezell; one great-great-granddaughter, Emily Scott Cook; four brothers, Ragon Allen, Kenny Allen, Lacy Allen and James Allen; and two sisters, Monico Oakley and Lucy Oglesby.

Mrs. Flood is survived by one son, Larry Flood and wife Marilyn of Murray; one daughter, June Kay Ezell and husband Roy of Cadiz; four grandchildren, Cynthia "Cindy" Ezell-Hinson, Rory Scott Ezell  and wife Beth, Amber Henshaw and husband Jack and Allen Flood and wife Lindsay; seven great-grandchildren, Jack Ezell, Will Ezell, Sam Ezell, Corban Henshaw, Gadden Henshaw, Noah Flood and Daphne Hinson; two great-great-grandchildren, Sabrina Cook and Madison Cook; and one great-great-great grandson, Lukas Cook.

The funeral service was at 11 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2019, at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz with Hal Shipley, Jack Henshaw and Allen Flood officiating, and Rory Scott Ezell providing the eulogy. Burial will follow in Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation was Sunday, March 10, 2019, at the funeral home.

William Lee, 85, of Dexter, Kentucky, died Friday, March 8, 2019, at Spring Creek Healthcare in Murray.

He was born Feb. 2, 1934 in Calloway County, Kentucky, to William Elvin and Maydell Byers Lee. 

He served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired from auto body repair.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie Lee; three daughters, Deborah Lynn, Dianna Lyn and Sandy Lormand; two sisters, Hazel Scalf and Cleva Jean Scarborough; and one grandchild, Teia DeAnne Todd.

Mr. Lee is survived by two sons, Danny Lee of Dexter and Terry Lee of California; a daughter, Valerie Wendling of Dexter; five grandchildren, William Lee of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Cody Lee of Dexter, Michael Lee Koon of Murray, Lori Swift of Murray and Charlotte Denay Koon of Murray; an uncle, Charles Byers of Murray; and a daughter-in-law, Tonya Lee Grogan.

A graveside service with military honors will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Murray Memorial Gardens with John Dale officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Imes Funeral Home & Crematory, downtown Murray.
