Wanda Brown Hall, 83, of Murray, Kentucky, died at 7 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2019, at her residence.

She was born Oct. 1, 1935, in Harrison County, Kentucky, to Sarah Frances Cole and James Henry Benson. 

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Gerald W. Brown and Nelson Eddie Hall, and her son, Mark Hansen.  

Mrs. Hall is survived by her daughters, Laura Walker and husband Jimmy of Murray and Teresa Brown Oakley and husband James of Hardin; a son, Keith Brown of Cadiz; a sister, Ann Benson Hunter of Versailles; a brother, Roy Benson of Georgetown; seven grandchildren, Cody Elkins, Derek Walker, Sara Harper, Taylor Walker, Rachel Elkins, Alek Hanson and Carlee Hanson; and seven great-grandchildren.   

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2019, at Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Story Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2019, at the funeral home.

John W. McDonald

John W. McDonald, 73, of Murray, Kentucky, died Monday March 11, 2019, at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.

He was born April 21, 1945, in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, to William Levi and Martha Jane Michael McDonald, who preceded him in death.

He was a graduate of Wilmington College and had a master’s degree in organization and management. He retired from Murray State University, where he served as director of marketing and public relations. He proudly served his country in the Ohio National Guard. His favorite past-times included rebuilding and restoring antique radios and automobiles, and he was a fan of the University of Kentucky Wildcasts basketball program.

Mr. McDonald is survived by his wife, Joyce Ellen Kennedy, whom he married Sept. 15, 1966, in Westerville, Ohio; a daughter, Kelly Chivington and husband Jeff of St. Marys, Ohio; a son, Jon E. McDonald and wife Shanna of Ciero, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Noah Chivington, Aaron Chivington, Adam Chivington, Winston McDonald, Fiona McDonald, Amelia McDonald and Gideon McDonald; two brothers, Dr. William McDonald of Charles, West Virginia and Gordon McDonald of Bradenton, Florida; his mother-in-law, Thelma Kennedy of New Lexington, Ohio; a half-sister, Patty McDonald of Mansfield, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Gloria (Richard) Wells of New Lexington, Ohio and Marla (Gary) Bowshier of Shawnee, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019, at the Miller-Long & Folk Funeral Home in St. Marys, Ohio, with Keith Stuck officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens near Moulton, Ohio. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2019, and at noon Saturday, March 16, 2019, at the funeral home.

Anthony Duncan, 64, of Murray, Kentucky, died at 1:50 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2019, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 12, 1954, in Kuttawa, Kentucky, to Myrtle Louise Harper and Hobart Emidis Duncan, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Duncan is survived by his daughters, Angie Tockstein and husband Darren, April Mathis and husband Kyle and Kelly McCuiston and husband Donnie; his fiancé, Delia Martinez; a sister, Carolyn Dunlap and husband Dale; six grandchildren, Hayley Warner, Shelby Warner, Ethan Tockstein, Logan Brogdon, Dominic McCuiston and Jake Mathis; two great-grandchildren, Cannan Sykes and Kylie Hines; and a special friend, Danny Elkins.
