MURRAY— The volleyball camp at Calloway County had a solid turnout of over 40 campers.
Over the course of two days the campers worked on drills and overall improvement of mechanics and fundamentals. There was also a big focus on just having fun, which is easy in a sport as action-packed as volleyball.
“The first day we worked on skills, games, techniques. We made it as fun as possible for the girls as we can,” middle school head coach Ann Fraher said.
The camp was led by Head Coach Lindsay Jones and Assistant Coach Melissa Hicks and Lady Laker high school players.
Campers got to learn from some of the Lady Lakers that they aspire to be in the future and play some fun competitive games with each other.
The Lady Lakers high school team will also be recieving new uniforms this year which gives them something to look forward to next season.
