Eliza Mae Kho will hope to continue the success of previous international golfers at Murray State.

Murray State women’s golf coach Velvet Milkman announced the signing of Eliza Mae Kho of Miri, Malaysia.

Kho will be a freshman with the Racers in the fall of 2019.

“I am excited to have Eliza join our Racer Golf Family,” said Coach Milkman, whose teams have won the last three Ohio Valley Conference championships. “She brings a good deal of experience in international competition and that will benefit our team. She has a fundamentally sound golf swing and is a very steady player with a lot of upside potential and I am excited to watch her success during her college career.”

Kho graduated from SMK USJ High School in Miri, Malaysia, and twice represented her school in the Malaysian Games in year 2016 and 2018. She helped her team to a third place showing at the Hainan Junior Open in China, where she had a fourth place finish herself on scores of 79-72-76-71=298. She led her team to the title of the Philippines Inter-Club Match Play Championship on scores of 76-75=151. At the Malaysian School Sports Championship, she placed fourth on scores of 74-79-76=229. Kho also won the titles of the Chief Minister’s Cup International Junior Championship and the KGM Junior Open.

When Kho joins her Racer teammates in Murray, the Racers will look forward to getting their 2019 fall season started. MSU’s first event is USA Intercollegiate (Sept. 14-16) hosted by South Alabama at Magnolia Grove Golf Club on the Robert Trent Jones Trail in Mobile, Alabama.
